CrossWalk in Redlands, CA

For those in the Mecca of Adventism, Loma Linda, CrossWalk Adventist Church has become a very familiar name.  Originally for the young adults of Azure Hills SDA, CrossWalk has grown to much more than a young adult church service.  Now, catering to families with young ones, CrossWalk is quite a friendly and welcoming environment for members young and old.

Loss of Pastors
One of the most difficult things for a church to deal with is the loss of a pastor, especially a senior pastor.  Crosswalk has had to deal with the loss of church pastors seemingly often.  The most recent loss of senior Pastor Michael Knecht has been especially difficult.  Michael Knecht was the heart and sole of CrossWalk for many years and basically took an idea for a church and made it happen.  It is great to see that CrossWalk has been able to sustain even in his absence, but it is clear that there is a void without his great speaking ability.  For CrossWalk members, filling Pastor Knecht's position may be possible, but replacing his leadership and speaking abilities is going to be an impossible task.

Church in a Business Facility
CrossWalk is one of those churches that is located in a non-traditional location.  Rather than a traditional church building with a steeple and pews, CrossWalk is in an old office space in a business park.  Oddly enough, it seems to work very well for them and their congregation.  It almost gives a new age-techie feel to the church.  This seems to match the spirit of the church very well.

Church on VideoCast
Being a technically savvy church, Crosswalk does a great job with their weekly videocasts of the church sermon.  A very clean video with great audio quality.  With a good production, the weekly video is a pleasure to keep up with.

Making Friends
With such a friendly church environment and a highly community driven church, Crosswalk is an easy place to make and keep new friends.  We encourage everyone to give it a try and meet and greet a new person this week!
